The HCE is used by more than 1,000 healthcare sites and over a million healthcare workers across Canada. It allows you to not only complete compliance training offered by your employer, but also enroll in accredited, CME (continuing medical education) offered by hundreds of Canadian teaching hospitals and healthcare organizations, associations and colleges that offer best-in-class educational programs.
Once logged in this secure learning environment, you’ll automatically see a list of courses already assigned to you by your employer. Yet you are still free to browse your employer’s course catalogue or the OCI Marketplace and self-enroll in courses that are of interest to you. The OCI Marketplace, which lists courses offered by other organizations. Many of these courses are accredited by recognized healthcare organizations such as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons or the College of Family Physicians, thereby allowing you to earn continuing education credits. Once you complete any course available in the OCI Marketplace, the learning record is forwarded to your employer so that both you and your employer retain a copy.
