Generally speaking, most course licenses have an expiration date on it. For example, a training provider selling course via the OCI marketplace may specify that licenses are valid for 365 days. If your organization needs to continue to have access to the course year over year, you will most likely want to renew your subscription to the course rather than buy a new license.
Step-by-step Guide
To renew your subscription to a course:
Go to the course in question
Go to Course Administration > License Management
Select the “Renew existing license” option
Follow the instructions to proceed with the payment
Important Notes
You can view all your licenses for the course by going to Course Administration > License Management. You can also renew a license from this page.
The new license is only effective once the current license expires. In other words, if your current license expires on July 15 and you are renewing it in March (of the same year), the new license will only become effective on July 15.
When renewing a license, the license key remains the same. This means that you do not need to update the license key setting in the “OCI Course” activities (if you deployed the course using an activity).
If you have multiple licenses already that you could potentially renew, you will be prompted to select which license you want to renew.
