HCE Express is an entry-level (and budget-friendly) version of Dual Code’s award-winning HCE learning environment, designed for organizations that want to sell or offer healthcare-related training to healthcare workers. Whether your courses are self-paced or instructor-led, accredited or non-accredited, free or for a fee, HCE Express will help you quickly launch your courses and make them instantly accessible to healthcare professionals working across Canada. Once you publish your courses in HCE Express, they become immediately visible to more than 1 million healthcare workers (including physicians, nurses, medical students, volunteers, and other staff) already registered in the OCI™ network.

Q. How do I get technical support?

A. Your level of technical support depends on your agreement with Dual Code. Many organizations that opt for an OCI™ micro-site decline technical support because they do not want to pay for it. If you declined technical support, then your only option for technical support is this user guide. Do not email Dual Code's technical support if you do not have an account with our Help Desk. While our team would love to help you, the software that collects technical support issues will automatically delete your request and our Help Desk team will never get to read your email.

Q. Is there training available for HCE Express?

A. Training and certification on HCE Express is available for administrators. To get certified, please register for the HCE-207: Essentials for HCE Express Administrators in our Training Centre.

Q. How do my learners get technical support?

A. Dual Code will support learners depending on the nature of the problemLearners can also receive support using the “Help” button at the bottom right of the page. If the learner is having difficulty enroling in your course or with the platform in general, they can click on the ? icon at the bottom right of their screenwe will support them to the best of our ability. If their problem is related to the content of a course, our Help Desk Client Services representative will recommend that they contact the Instructor of the course. For that reason, we recommend that you list the contact information for the course within the course itself, using a "label" or some other mechanism.

If the user is a Canadian healthcare professional, chances are they already have an account with Dual Code. If they do not already have an account, they can create a free personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free! Once registered, they can enrol and participate in any of your courses.

Q. Can I block certain users from accessing my courses?

A. If your course is not published, only you and people that you granted Instructor access to the course can access itis hidden or self-registration is disabled, only administrators can access the course. When your course is published and meets all of the criteria for OCI, anyone can access your course - provided that they pay the fee if your charge for . Note that if you charge a fee for your course, users will have to pay the full fee prior to gaining access to the course. You cannot selectively block users from accessing your published courses. If you need to control who can access your courses, we recommend that you need to upgrade to our regular servicesHCE Standard. To upgrade, please contact us at sales@dualcode.com.

Q. How do users access my courses?

A. If the users' employer has a learning environment that is powered by Dual Code, which is denoted by a Image Removed powered by Dual Code logo at the bottom right of the LMS's web pagetheir learning environment, or if they have an account on another LMS system powered by Dual Code, they can access your courses by going to OCI Tools > Search for courses in the Navigation block. Otherwise, if they do not already have an account on the Dual Code platform, they can create a personal account on on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Q. Can we add students ourselves?

A. No. You cannot add students yourselves. Users who do not already have an account with Dual Code can create their own personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free.

Q. Can I charge a fee for my courses?

A. Yes. You can charge a fee for any of your courses by following these step-by-step instructions.

Q. Our members / partners are not on the Dual Code platform. Can they still buy our courses for their staff?

A. Yes. If a representative for one of your members / partners registers on My Dual Code, they will be able to buy licenses for your course in bulk. Once they purchase a license, they will receive an email with full instructions. Essentially, the instructions will contain a link that embeds a security key that they can share with their staff. The learner simply needs to click on the link and follow the instructions to register in your course pre-paid by their employer.

Q. Our members / partners who are not on the Dual Code platform want to track registration in the course they purchased and see who completed the course. Can they do this?

A. The HCE Workplace is a budget-friendly version of Dual Code’s award-winning HCE designed for organizations who are not yet ready to switch their primary learning environment to Dual Code’s HCE Standard platform. With HCE Workplace, employers can register their staff in OCI courses, and track their participation and progress in those courses. HCE Workplace can even send reminders to learners or managers about upcoming or missed certification deadlines. For more info, please have your members / partners contact sales@dualcode.com.

Q. Can I upgrade my instance to get more features?
