The learning environment allows you administrators to issue learning records for courses in the learning environment. The intended use case for this feature is for user(s) who have completed an equivalent course outside the learning environment (e.g. with another training provider).

Course equivalencies can be issued for a single user or many users at a time.

Step-by-step guide

To issue course equivalencies as a System Administrator:

  1. Go toSite administration > Courses > Course equivalencies
  2. Fill out the form in question. You can also upload a copy of a certificate of completion in PDF format if you'd like. 
  3. Click on "Save changes".

Expiration date

When registering course equivalencies, you have the option of specifying an expiration date.  In the absence of this, the system will calculate the expiration date based on current course settings.  For example, if a course is configured to expire 1 year after completion, and an equivalency is being registered for May 13, 2021, the resulting learning record will be set to expire on May 13, 2022.
