It is possible to restrict courses to a group of users based on their email domain, city, preferred language, job title, department and/or institution. For example, if you learning environment is accessible to both employees and non-employees, you may want to restrict some courses to your employees based on their email address.
When restricted, courses are not visible to learners and will not appear in the course catalogue or the search results.
To restrict a course:
- Find the course in question using the course catalogue or search tool
- Once in the course, click on Course administration > Edit settings
- Set the Course ID number as per your convention to restrict or allow access to certain group
