The following frequently asked questions should get you started

Q. How do I get technical support?

A. Your level of technical support depends on your agreement with Dual Code. Many organizations that opt for an OCI™ micro-site decline technical support because they do not want to pay for it. If you declined technical support, then your only option for technical support is this user guide. Do not email Dual Code's technical support if you do not have an account with our Help Desk. While our team would love to help you, the software that collects technical support issues will automatically delete your request and our Help Desk team will never get to read your email.

Q. How do my learners get technical support?

A. Dual Code will support learners depending on the nature of the problem. If the learner is having difficulty enroling in your course or with the platform in general, they can click on the ? icon at the bottom right of their screen. If their problem is related to the content of a course, our Help Desk representative will recommend that they contact the Instructor of the course. For that reason, we recommend that you list the contact information for the course within the course itself, using a "label" or some other mechanism.

Q. Who can enrol in my courses?

A. The short answer is anyone

Dual Code has almost 1 million Canadian healthcare professionals in our network. If the user is a healthcare professional, chances are they already have an account with Dual Code. If they do not, they can create a personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free! Once registered, they can enrol and participate in any of your courses.

Q. Can I block certain users from accessing my courses?

A. If your course is not published, only you and people that you granted Instructor access to the course can access it. When your course is published, anyone can access your course - provided that they pay the fee if your charge for the course. You cannot selectively block users from accessing your published courses. If you need to control who can access your courses, you need to upgrade to our regular services. To upgrade, please contact us at sales@dualcode.com.

Q. How do users access my courses?

A. If the users' employer has a learning environment that is powered by Dual Code, which is denoted by a logo at the bottom right of the LMS's web page, or they have an account on another LMS powered by Dual Code, they can access your courses by going to OCI Tools > Search for courses in the Navigation block. See the "Private Instance" screenshot below.

Otherwise, if they do not already have an account on the Dual Code platform, they can create a personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free! Once registered, they can enrol and participate in any course offered via the OCI Marketplace. See the "My Dual Code" screenshot below.

Q. Can we add students ourselves?

A. No. You cannot add students yourselves. Users who do not already have an account with Dual Code can create their own personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free.

Q. Can I charge a fee for my courses?

A. Yes. You can charge a fee for any of your courses by following these /wiki/spaces/OCI/pages/34021252.

Q. Can I upgrade my instance to get more features?

A. Absolutely. Your OCI micro-site can be upgraded to a full site for even more features. To upgrade your instance, simply contact us at sales@dualcode.com
