Course Creators can sort courses within categories. When sorting courses, the sort order is respected on other pages throughout the learning environment, notably the front page.
You can sort courses by moving them up or down one at a time or in bulk. Both methods are described in this article.
Step-by-step Guide
To move a course up (or down) one course at a time:
- Go to Site Administration > Courses > Manage Courses and Categories
- Click on the category that contains the courses
- Click on the "Move up" icon (or "Move down" icon) (the arrows) next to the course in question
To sort multiple courses in bulk:
- Go to Site Administration > Courses > Manage Courses and Categories
- Click on the category that contains the courses
- Using the "Sort courses" dropdown menu highlighted on the screenshot below, select a sorting option
