Resetting an Administrator's Password

Resetting an Administrator's Password

The system currently enables administrators to reset their own passwords directly via a link on the login page. Account Owners however can manually reset an administrator's password when necessary. This enhancement proves valuable in scenarios where an administrator is locked out, has forgotten their password, or needs urgent access restored. By providing Account Owners this level of control, organizations can minimize access interruptions while maintaining strong security practices.

Step-by-step Guide

To reset an administrator’s password:

  1. Go to Users > Find Administrators

  2. Click on the “Edit” icon next to the administrator in question

  3. Enter a new password and save it

Important Notes

  • Only the Account Owner can change an administrator’s password. A user that only has basic administrator permissions cannot change another user’s password.

  • You can now change a learner’s password

  • Changing the password does not inform the administrator. You must communicate the password with them using other means, such as by telephone or in person.
