Q. How do I log in as an administrator?
A. Your administrator account must be created by the main account administrator or account owner. Once it's set up, you will receive an invitation via email with full instructions. If you haven’t received the email, please check your spam or junk folder. To log in to your HCE Marketplace site, go to https://admin.dualcode.com/yoursitename and follow the instructions on the web page or in the email invitation.
Q. How do I log in as a learner to see what they see?
A. To view what non-administrators see, log out of the administrator portal and visit https://my.dualcode.com/yoursitename. Next, click the login button at the top right of the page. This will direct you to My Dual Code, a free platform where you can create an account. After registering, you’ll be redirected to your site, where you can register for or purchase courses, just like any other healthcare worker.
Please note that once your courses are published to OCI, they will automatically be listed in the course catalog of any healthcare employer subscribed to HCE Workplace. However, since HCE Workplace is a secure, restricted system, access to these platforms is limited to authorized users only.
Q. How do I get technical support?
A. Technical support for administrators is available via the “Help” button at the bottom right of the page. By clicking on this button, you can ask any question and an AI-driven virtual assistant will answer you. If you do not like the answer, you can continue to interact with the virtual assistant or you can click on a link in the chat window to speak to a real person.
Q. How do my learners get technical support?
A. Learners can also receive support using the “Help” button at the bottom right of the page. If the learner is having difficulty enroling in your course or with the platform in general, we will support them to the best of our ability. If their problem is related to the content of a course, our Client Services representative will reach to you or one of your other administrators.
If users reach out to you directly, we recommend directing them to click the “Help” button at the bottom right of their screen. Technical support is included in your annual subscription, and we're committed to providing top-notch assistance to ensure the best experience for all users.
Q. Is there training available for HCE Marketplace?
A. Training on HCE Marketplace is available for administrators. To get certified, please register for the HCE-207: Essentials for HCE Express Administrators in our Training Centre. You can find a link to our Training Centre in the footer of your site once logged in as an administrator.
Q. Who can enrol in my courses?
A. The short answer is anyone!
There are over 1 million healthcare workers registered in the OCI network and any of them can sign up for courses that you’ve published on the OCI Marketplace. If the user is a Canadian healthcare professional, chances are they already have an account with Dual Code. If they do not already have an account, they can create a free personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free! Once registered, they can enrol and participate in any of your courses.
Your courses are automatically displayed in the course catalog of any employer subscribed to the HCE Workplace LMS. This means that employees of hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement homes or members of associations or regulatory bodies whose LMS is powered by Dual Code can use their existing account to access and register for your courses.
Q. Can I block certain users from accessing my courses?
A. If your course is hidden or self-registration is disabled, only administrators can access the course. When your course is published and meets all of the criteria for OCI, anyone can access your course. Note that if you charge a fee for your course, users will have to pay the full fee prior to gaining access to the course. You cannot selectively block users from accessing your published courses in OCI. If you need to control who can access your courses, we recommend that you consider HCE Workplace, which allow you to restrict access to your staff, members, or other stakeholders. To learn more about HCE Workplace, please contact us at sales@dualcode.com.
Q. How do users access my courses?
A. If the users' employer has a learning environment that is powered by Dual Code, which is denoted by a powered by Dual Code logo at the bottom right of their learning environment, or if they have an account on another system powered by Dual Code, they can access your courses by doing a simple search in their course catalogue.
Otherwise, if they do not already have an account on the Dual Code platform, they can create a personal account on My Dual Code at https://my.dualcode.com. Registration is quick and free! Once registered, they can enrol and participate in any course offered via OCI.
Q. Can we add students to our courses ourselves?
A. No. You cannot add students directly to your system or courses yourselves. The ability to add users, assign them to courses and programs is only available with a subscription to HCE Workplace. You can however promote your site and courses by sending users directly to your URL, which is https://my.dualcode.com/youristename. From there, users will be able to browse your course catalogue and once they are ready, self-register in your courses by clicking on the login button at the top right of the screen and following the instructions.
If you sell your courses, the individual purchasing the course will receive a unique URL that contains a secret key. They can also forward this URL to their workers, which allows them to self-register in your course.
Q. Our members / partners are not on the Dual Code platform. Can they still buy our courses for their staff?
A. Yes. If a representative for one of your members / partners registers on My Dual Code, they will be able to buy licenses for your course in bulk. Once they purchase a license, they will receive an email with full instructions. Essentially, the instructions will contain a link that embeds a security key that they can share with their staff. The learner simply needs to click on the link and follow the instructions to register in your course pre-paid by their employer.
Q. Our members / partners who are not on the Dual Code platform want to track registration in the course they purchased and see who completed the course. Can they do this?
A. Yes. The individual who purchases bulk licenses for your course has access to a report that shows who enrolled in the course and who completed it.
If the member or partner requires more advanced reporting features, they should consider subscribing to HCE Workplace. This platform enables employers to register staff in OCI courses and track their participation and progress using enhanced tools. HCE Workplace also allows the creation of custom reports, which can be automatically emailed to them. For more info, please have your members / partners contact sales@dualcode.com.
Q. Can I charge a fee for my courses?
A. Yes. You can charge a fee for any of your courses by following these step-by-step instructions.
Q. Do your system issue receipts?
A. Yes. Once a user completes a purchase, they will receive an email that contains general instructions as well as a receipt. The receipt itself is an attachment to the email in PDF format.
