An instructor can expire learning records (e.g. change the expiration date) for an individual course. This can be useful for example if a once-in-a-lifetime course, which would generate learning records with no expiration, now needs to be taken annualy.

Step-by-step Guide

To void learning records for a course:

  1. Go to the course in question
  2. Go to Course Administration > Reset
  3. Under "Learning Records" section, enable the "Expire learning records" field and select the date for which you want the existing learning records to expire
  4. Click on the "Reset course" button

Important Notes

  • When expiring learning records, the existing learning records will be marked as "voided" and a new learning record with the expiration date will be generated. The original (now voided) learning record can still be retrieved via the Learning Records report by a System Administrator.
