Early-bird Discounts in PayPal® Pro

The PayPal Pro enrollment plugin, released in version 2.5.6.8, now supports the concept of early-bird discounts. In addition to specifying the cost for each course, an administrator or instructor can now add an early-bird cost as well as the early-bird deadline. When enabled, the PayPal Pro enrollment plugin will automatically adjust the price when the user checks out.

To specify the early bird discount:

  1. Go to the course in question

  2. Go to Course Administration > Enrolled Users > Enrolment methods

  3. If PayPal Pro is not already enabled, add it by selecting it in the "Add method" pulldown menu. Otherwise, click on the "Edit" icon next to the enabled PayPal Pro instance

  4. Make sure that in addition to specifying the "Early-bird cost" that you enable and set the "Early-bird deadline".
