Managing Facilitators
The learning environment assumes that the person who creates the classroom session will be the Facilitator for that session. As such, the user who creates the session automatically becomes the "Facilitator" for that session as long as they are also an instructor in the course. (In other words, if a System Administrator creates the session and the administrator is not listed as an instructor in the course, the Facilitator will be left empty.)
If you want to set / change the Facilitator for any session, you can.
Step-by-step Guide
To change the Facilitator for a session:
Go to the face-to-face activity in question
Click on the "Edit session" icon next to the session in question
In the āEvent detailsā section, select the Facilitator(s). You can select more than one.

Important Notes
Only users who are enrolled in the course using an instructor role (sometimes called "Teacher" or "Non-editing teacher") can be added as Facilitators to a session.
A Facilitator is not a true role (with special permissions) in the system and does not grant the user any additional capabilities. It is strictly a way to specify who is facilitating which session.
When someone is identified as a Facilitator for a session, a personal event will appear in their calendar. As a best practice, we recommend that Facilitators export their learning environment calendar and then import it in their preferred calendar (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar or other) to make sure they don't miss a session they are scheduled to facilitate.
