Giving Access to Custom Reports

By default, only System Administrators can view the custom reports. However, you can grant access to anyone in the system.

Step-by-step Guide

To give access to a custom report:

  1. Go to Site Administration > Reports > Report Builder > Custom reports

  2. Click on the report's name

  3. Click on the "Audience" tab

  4. Select the audience from one of the options:

    1. "All users" will give access to all users in the system as the name implies

    2. "Assigned system roles" will allow you to specify roles. Note that only system roles are available. In other words, you cannot grant access to instructors using this method since the role of instructor is assigned in the context of a course.

    3. "Manually added users" will allow you to choose specific users.

    4. "Member of a cohort" would allow you to specify a cohort. All members of the cohort will be granted access to the report.

Once you have granted access to the report, you can view the list of actual users who have access to the report by clicking on the "Access" tab.
