Adding Courses
The term "course" in the learning environment refers to the shell that contains the course information, such as its title, description and so on. The learning activities inside the course (e.g. videos, quizzes, SCORM files) are called "activities". As an instructor, it's important that you understand the following:
People who only have the role of "Instructor" cannot create courses (e.g. course shells). The course must be created by either a System Administrator or a Course Creator. In smaller organizations, most Instructors also have the role of Course Creator but the distinction is important because your administrator may have only granted you the ability to modify existing courses and you may not have the ability toĀ create new courses.
Once a course has been created, assuming that you are the Instructor for that course, you may modify its settings and add activities and resources to the course.
