Updating Bloody Easy with the OCI Version

The Blood Easy courses offered by the Ontario Regional Blood Coordinating Network (ORBCoN) are available via the OCI Marketplace. By leveraging the OCI Marketplace, any updates made by the ORBCoN will automatically be made available to your learners. As an administrator or instructor, you will no longer have to worry about deploying SCORM files nor updating your version of the course whenever a new course is available

Step-by-step Guide

To replace your local Blood Easy SCORM package(s) with the one available via the OCI Marketplace

  1. Go to the Blood Easy course in your learning environment

  2. Turn editing on

  3. Delete (or hide) the old SCORM package currently in your course. If you have separate quizzes, you will want to delete / hide them as well.

  4. Click on "Add an activity or resource"

  5. Select the "OCI Course" activity

  6. Fill out the form:

    1. Give the activity a name (e.g. Blood Easy)

    2. Select "Blood Easy Lite" or "Blood Easy Blood Administration" from the list of courses

    3. Set the Activity completion to "Show activity as complete when conditions are met"

  7. Click on "Save and return to course"

  8. Go to Course Administration > Course Completion

  9. Under "Condition: Activity Completion", select the activity you added in step 6 above

  10. Click on "Save changes"

When a learner complete the course via the OCI Marketplace, they will receive their green checkmark within your learning environment the same way they would if you hosted the SCORM package.
