Forcing Users to Complete their Profile

Problem

Organizations are able to define a user profile form for learners to fill out.  This form can be for users who self-register in the system and/or for internal staff who are created from an HRIS or Active Directory. The form can contain both optional and mandatory fields.

In some cases, some organizations wanted fields on the form to be mandatory, but not the form itself. In other words, they didn't necessarily want to force users to fill out the form, but if users did choose to fill out the form, then the organization wanted users to fill out the form in its entirety.

Solution

This is now possible via a system-wide setting that specifies whether or not the form itself is mandatory. For the moment, this setting can only be enabled by a Dual Code administrator. To enable (or disable) this setting, please contact us via our Help Center.
